The subject of research in Information Technology (IT) Management is to study socio-technical and economic aspects of ISs and to propose or improve innovative solutions that provide suitable systematic and computational support for different types of organizations. Furthermore, this research area aims at generating policy guidelines for the assessment and management of social and economic relations mediated by the use of Information Technology (IT). The research involves analyzing and proposing models, methods and techniques for planning, operating and evaluating information goods, IT and ISs.
